Since everyone has been dying to see the house, I thought I would post a few pics and keep you updated on the progress of the restoration. As my contractors work on it, you will see how and when it improves. I will try and post angles of before and after on this blog.
I DON'T HAVE ALL THE PHOTOS POSTED,, THERE ARE SO MANY, I NEED BETTER ANGLES AND LIGHTING.
My Victorian House..In Restoration Phase I
This is one of the Master Fireplaces, This will be next to The Jacuzzi Tub for those Cold nights of FUN! I am adding a Master bathroom and Closet to this space. Victorians were not to big on Walk in closets. The master closet currently is 3 foot BY 1 foot deep.. Never going to house my shoes!
This is the 2nd fireplace in the Master bedroom, this is the sitting room portion of the Bedroom, See the Bookshelves in the corner. Cant wait to drink my coffee and read.
Master Bedroom is half of the second floor.
Dining Room Fireplace has this amazing Tile on it, it has flecks of Gold and Burnt Orange engrained into the true Victorian Greens. Don't know why they would have build bookshelves for china, seems like the Victorian loved their Decorative China Cabinets to much. BUT.. I' glad it's there. More Books!!
I was fortunate that all the wood in my house was not destroyed or painted over.. That is a rarity in these old houses.
This is One of Four Staircases in the house. Most have 8 to ten steps, a landing and they another three to four.. I hope I get a new look to my butt from living here!
